Runway

In 2018, Perot Field completed a long-sought after runway expansion. The project extended runways 16R/34L, 16L/34R and Taxiway A at the north end of the property from their previous lengths of 8,200 and 9,600 feet to 11,000 feet. With the expansion, the airport can now support increased air cargo capacity by enabling long-haul flights to take off fully fueled under almost any type of weather conditions and reach destinations as far as Europe. This new development was nearly 15 years in the making, and proves to be a major stepping stone in the progress of the success at Perot Field.

Honor Guard Memorial

Hillwood developed Freedom Plaza as a tribute to the U.S. Air Force and all branches of the armed forces. The Honor Guard Memorial and the Wall of Values are featured within Freedom Plaza at Perot Field Fort Worth Alliance Airport. The Honor Guard Memorial was dedicated on Friday, October 23, 2009. To visit Freedom Plaza, exit Alliance Boulevard from Interstate 35W and travel west. The Memorial is located on the west side of the FAA Air Traffic Control Tower.
